The street artist known only as slinkachu has been abandoning little people on the streets of London since 2006. His first project, ‘Little People in the City’, saw mi nature men, women and children living their lives on the streets of London and was immortalized in the 2008 book entitled Little People in the City”. Since then, slinkachu has done a number of other projects, notably ‘Whatever Happened to the Men of Tomorrow’ which documented the decline of a tiny, middle aged and balding super-hero on the streets of London and ‘Inner City Snail – a slow moving street art project’which saw slinkachu ‘customizing’ a number of London snails which then presumably went about their business none the wiser. So, next time you are out and about in London, look down, for you might be missing out on the drama unfolding below.
The photographer has used two different angles a worms eye view to capture the close up image of the figure and orange peel. He has then taken a photograph to capture his figure from far so you can not see the figure but only the orange peel. Making it look like litter if you were to walk passed it.It is clever how he has used the orange peel as a skate board ramp, I may use food in my shoots as this distracts the human eye to the figure creating a more of a surprise to the audience when they realize what they are actually looking at.
I have chosen this image because in real life you would see a person running after a fly trying to wack it away, instead the photographer uses the fly as the attacker. The photographer has used a small depth making the figure stand out to the audience. The focus point is on the fly and figure,by using dull colours such as grey makes the red blood more eye catching. It has given me the inspiration to recreate the use of limited colours in my work.
I like the way Slikachu has used money in his shoot to me it symbolizes power. It also shows how small the figures are in comparison to the ten pound note. I will use this idea and recreate it but use a coin.
"Roys People is all about creating images and installations using miniature figures, taxidermy and every day items. It all began with 3 miniature figures and 1 taxidermy Mandibularis beetle (a big scary one). My idea was to create an installation of 'The Family' walking their pet beatle on the beach. The idea was based on the control the human race has over any other animal. From the success of this piece and the limited edition prints, I was encouraged to explore the world of the little people in more depth."
My work is all about trying to encourage everyone to see art in a different light. Sometimes, art can be boring, but I plan to challenge this by creating images that are intriguing, humorous, thought provoking and fun. I believe everyone can relate to my art in some way or another.
First take
For my shot I am going to use a variety of things that makes the picture interesting. I need to use small depth field to make sure the figure is the focus point and the background is out of focus. I will use different locations to create my work to change the setting and work in the style of Slinkachu.
worst take
The picture I have took is over exposed and you can not see the bottle in the picture. I did not set my camera correctly and it is also not in focus.
best take
My favorite take is the one where the figure was on the star the one thing that I have got wrong it was that I showed the blue tack. I also tell a story like slinkachu work
second take
My plan is that is that the figure finds a penny on the floor and tries to pick it up. I will focus on the figure, the penny will be out of focus, but every time the figure goes forward it will be getting closer then finally the penny will be in focus. I will be concentrating on different depth of Field . I also used money like Slinkachu used a ten pound note

Best take
This is my best picture because I set my focus point on the coin and blurred the figure from behind from the background. It make this picture more eye catching and the colour stands out on the red figure because the background is grey.
I am going to take a picture of a small figure on a piece of card, then attach a piece of chalk onto the figure and draw a football net making it look like the figure has drew the football net on the card. I will then take the pictures in different angles.

best image
This is my best image as I have used a worms eye view and set my focus point on the figure to capture a detailed shot of the figure. I like how the background is out of focus which helps the bright yellow helmet and figure stand out making it more eye catching.
fourth take
worst image
To me this is my worst image from this shoot as I have not captured both the letter A's I have taken the shot from the wrong angle and you can not see the full figure.
best image
I think this image stands out from the rest of the photographs that I have taken in this shoot because it has been taken from a straight angle allowing me to capture the side of the full figure and both A's. It is in focus and it shows clearly what the figure is doing.

my best pictures:
I decided to use a a figure and small piece of chalk to produce a slinkachu image. My idea was to turn the figure into a tree surgeon and use the chalk to show a ladder drawn onto the tree. The background gives a feel of woodland indicating the fading of tree branches

Evalution
For my work I have tried to create the first few images that are at the top by going outside and tried to create my work with different props and do some of my own work in my style by using big borders a chalk to try different version of Slinkachu.
