04 assembled
Assembled mean gathering together of objects that are arranged in a specific way. People can also 'assemble' and gather.
catherine losing
I like this image because it is set out in a different way and she has used many colours in this image and I like the way she has set the image out. She has used many different objects that you would find around the house. Her use of pastel colour makes it quite light and the colours go well together. This person takes images as a whole and sometimes focuses on specific objects. She is not only arranging the objects, but her view points too. She took the pictures from a different angle every time which is why I like them.
Catherine Losing is a still-life photographer and director based in London. Her work is easily recognizable colorful and dynamic

Dan cretu
wayne thiebaud |
Dan Cretu is extraordinary different to the other assembled photographers. He uses vegetables for his work to create an image that looks like another object in this case a motorbike. using a chilli which is fiery and hot is a good vegetable to use for a bike which is also seen as fiery and dangerous. Green and red are complementary colours and they clash together. This makes the picture more bright and they have used a white background ad you use a bright light and shine it on the object and the light also helps cast a shadow on the object.

Wayne Thiebaud (born November 15, 1920) is an American painter widely known for his colorful works that show ordinary objects—pies, lipsticks, paint cans, ice cream cones, pastries, and hot dogs—as well as for his landscapes and figure painting. Thiebaud is a pop artist. Thiebaud uses heavy colour and exaggerated shadows in his painting.
ANdy Warhol |
I like this piece because it is something I could recreate for my shoot.
When I look at this piece I feel happy because it reminds me of a picnic and the food you would take with you. This is an effective image because he has used the colours, texture and shadow to make the cupcakes stand out more. I like the composition of the piece because he has placed the image directly in the middle and the focus point is mainly in the centre. |
Andy Warhol. 1. Andy Warhol, the famous American artist, was born on Monday, August 6, 1928. He is considered a pioneer of “Pop Art” which was an art movement during 1950s.
The Andy Warhol Museum was visited by 25,000 people in just its opening week. In 2010, this number has grown to 106,396 visitors. Andy Warhol is a pop artist like WAYNE THIEBAUD. Again he uses pastel colours and sometimes food or drinks. He repeats his images which is quite interesting and is an idea that I might use later in the project |
justine khamara
This artist likes to use black and white lines and she is an optical artist.
Op art, short for optical art, is a style of visual art that uses optical illusions. Op art works are abstract, with many better known pieces created in black and white. Typically, they give the viewer the impression of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibrating patterns, or of swelling or warping.

He remakes dutch paintings in a interesting way so he photographs different body parts and arranges them. He pins them like a display you would find in a museum. I like this idea and I plan to remake a portrait in his style. Rather than using a Dutch painting for inspiration I will try to find my own painter or use a model.

test shoot 1
I have used colour paper that links to Catherine losing then I have used sweets that links with Dan Cretu and WAYNE THIEBAUD. The lighting of the image is not good as I thought I would be next time I need to find a place next to the window where the lighting will be better. I could use studio lights to create shadows like WAYNE THIEBAUD.

SUMMARIES
My work links to my artist by the images created I have repeated them more than once and I have added a different colours for the backgrounds. I have edited the shadows of the different foods I have took. The way I have presented my shoot I printed my photographs of the cookies on to iron transfer paper so that I could make a table cloth. I had to iron the printed transfer paper on to a piece of fabric and I repeated it several times.I used the inspiration from Andy Wharhol by using the same colours and also the ideas and colours from Catherina and Waynes work.
